Pakistan launched communication satellite with China’s help

Pakistan launched a multi-mission communication satellite on Thursday for faster internet connectivity with China, its all-weather friend. This is Islamabad’s second satellite into orbit in less than a month.

The Multi-Mission Communication Satellite, or PAKSAT MM1, was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwest province of Sichuan, according to a report by China’s state-run Xinhua news agency.

The state-run broadcaster, Pakistan Television, declared in a statement that the satellite would help improve broadband, mobile, and television content in addition to offering “the best internet services across Pakistan.” It also mentioned that August will mark the beginning of satellite service.

The spacecraft, it said, had arrived at its planned orbit.

The state-run broadcaster, Pakistan Television, declared in a statement that the satellite would help improve broadband, mobile, and television content in addition to offering “the best internet services across Pakistan.” It also mentioned that August will mark the beginning of satellite service.

According to state-run Associated Press Pakistan, Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, congratulated the country on its successful launch and stated his optimism that the satellite will help the nation provide the quickest internet service.

The satellite’s launch is a component of Pakistan’s National Space Programme 2047, according to a statement released last week by the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco).

The News International publication had stated, quoting Suparco, that “the PAKSAT MM1 was conceived as a joint venture between Suparco and the Chinese aerospace industry, keeping in sight the growing needs of the country in the broad spectrum of communication and connectivity.”

Attending the launch, Pakistan’s Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal declared that the country would soon launch satellites from its own launching sites.

“The day will come when we launch our satellites from Pakistan’s Space Launch Centre on our own rockets.” “Pakistan, congratulations,” he said.

As part of China’s Chang’e-6 lunar mission, Pakistan launched its small satellite, called “iCube-Qamar,” from the Hainan province on May 3.

According to the article, Pakistan has launched at least six spacecraft, including iCube Qamar, PAKSAT 1-R, PRSS-1, PakTes 1-A, BADR-A, and BADR-B.

Following its ascent into space on May 8, the iCube-Qamar transmitted the first-ever pictures of the moon taken in lunar orbit after its launch on May 3.
