Hezbollah targets Israeli military installations using drones

Hezbollah, a organization based in Lebanon, declared on Monday that it had launched a drone squadron into the Israeli military’s Galilee formation headquarters.

Since the start of their shooting skirmishes with Israel, which have been in tandem with Israel’s conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, this would be Hezbollah’s first drone attack with a squadron.

Three sirens sounded in northern Israel on Monday to warn residents of potential attacks from Lebanon; the Israeli military did not immediately comment to the claim.
According to an Israeli military statement, Ali Hussein Sabra, a member of “Hezbollah’s Force Build-up Unit,” died on Monday.

It further stated that its forces had destroyed several military installations and other Hezbollah infrastructure in the Qotrani region of southern Lebanon.

According to Hezbollah, the squadron hit was prompted by Israel killing one of its fighters in the hamlet of Zrariyeh in the south.

The Iranian-aligned group further stated that it had launched drones on Sunday at Liman in northern Israel.

There has been an increase in fighting along Lebanon’s southern border in recent days. Hezbollah and the Israeli military have both bombed areas outside the border where there has been concentrated and intense firing.

Two civilian men from the town of Houla, where they had stayed throughout the fighting to tend to their cattle, were killed by Israeli attacks on Sunday, according to locals and security sources who spoke with Reuters. Their hometown had their funeral on Monday.

Locals in Beirut reported that Israeli planes flew low over the city on Monday.
