The Apple Design Awards 2024 winners are revealed by Apple, who will present them at WWDC24 the following week.

The winners of Apple’s yearly Design Awards were unveiled by the company, honoring 14 remarkable applications and video games for their extraordinary innovation, technological mastery, and design. Developers from all across the world were recognized for their outstanding contributions to improving user experiences across a variety of categories.

Susan Prescott, vice president of worldwide developer relations at Apple, commended the winning teams for creating amazing apps and games that enhance users’ lives through compelling and engaging experiences by utilizing Apple technology. The winners were chosen from 42 contenders and recognized in seven separate categories, each of which represented excellence in a particular area of game and app development.

At WWDC24 the following week, Apple will honor the developers of these apps and games for their exceptional technical accomplishments and superior design.

Bears Gratitude and NYT Games won the Delight and Fun category for their delightful and entertaining experiences made possible by Apple technologies. Isuru Wanasinghe’s journaling software Bears appreciation encourages daily acts of appreciation with a friendly and inviting UI, and The New York Times Company’s NYT Games provides an engaging selection of games optimized for high replay value.

Okowa and Crayola Adventures, who were honored for offering outstanding experiences that were accessible to a wide range of people, highlighted inclusivity. AYES’s oko helps blind people see by alerting them to traffic signals, while Red Games Co.’s Crayola Adventures provides inclusive character selection and gaming for gamers of all ages and backgrounds.

Procreate Dreams and Lost in Play were recognized in the Innovation category for their creative application of Apple technologies. Procreate’s Procreate Dreams lets users easily make beautiful 2D animations, and Happy Juice Games’ Lost in Play draws gamers in with its charming riddles and characters.

In the Interaction category, Crouton and Rytmos stood out for having excellent controls and interfaces. Devin Davies’s Crouton simplifies culinary chores with a simple UI, and Floppy Club’s Rytmos tests players with simple puzzles and engaging gameplay.

The Wreck and Gentler Streak Fitness Tracker were honored in the Social Impact category for their significant efforts to enhance lives. While Gentler Stories’ Gentler Streak encourages healthy living through upbeat prompts and conscientious organizing of health data, The Pixel Hunt’s The Wreck presents rich and personal stories that shed light on significant concerns.

In the Visuals and Graphics category, Rooms and Lies of P were praised for their striking graphics and well-coordinated themes. Rooms by Things, Inc. offers users a platform for imaginative creations with delightful detail, while Lies of P by NEOWIZ captivates players with beautiful textures and stunning effects in an imaginative adventure setting.

Blackbox and DJ App & AI Mixer were recognized in the Spatial Computing category for their outstanding spatial experiences. Blackbox by Shapes and Stories challenges players with captivating riddles and deft spatial interactions, while djay pro by algoriddim GmbH revolutionizes music mixing with high-definition sound quality and immersive surroundings.

With their exceptional contributions, these winners elevate the bar for innovation, artistry, and creativity in app and game development, enhancing the Apple ecosystem.
